Progressive vs Interlaced footage

Not sure which is which? Here's how to tell if your footage is interlaced or progressive.

To figure out if your footage is progressive or interlaced, click on the video in question to enter the video screen.

From here, you'll be able to tell if a video is progressive or interlaced under the 'Video Info' tab.

If the video is progressive, this is what you'll see (the encircled 'p' denotes progressive footage):

If the video is interlaced, this is what you'll see (the encircled 'i' denotes interlaced footage):

Interlaced footage can be either TFF (top field first) or BFF (bottom field first). The video below is TFF.

Note: If you see that your video is interlaced, it is important to select a deinterlacer during processing. This is not yet something that Pixop does automatically.
